Do you have a meaningful “saying” with your sibling?
I would love to hear them, please comment and share yours with me!
I have one sister. My younger, baby, sister. The age difference between us is less then 4 years and I personally, since our teenage years have loved the difference. In my thoughts, the age gap allowed for us to be individuals, and still grow close while becoming friends at a young age.
Trials, growing pains, immaturity, blah blah, all survived…
Children, marriage (s), grief, triumphs…. Careers…
Miles and time… have never stopped the motto of the Walborn sisters, “cradle to grave” , she’s my sister, no other words required to define her and her placement in my life.
The word Sister encompasses all we know of each other, and all we can depend on from the other without any doubt or hesitation, in any situation, at any time.
My sister offers: No judgement during a true ugly cry; ensuring the feeling of a goddess when necessary (wedding day, or a random Wednesday that a funk needs broken); and all of the comforts a true friend offers during your emotional needs as a person. (Like a real blunt dose of perspective and honesty.) Including knowing you are ok and your bond is not lessened by time or distance between making contact.
Full respect and pure compassion, accompany deep love… These are the strongest descriptive words I can share in reference to what I strive for with my baby sister during every chapter of life we write together.
Now more then ever before, I value the time we share, and when I placed a call that I needed her shoulder to cry on, her support to lean on , and her amazing spirit to remind me of the vibrancy life can have… while hearing her laugh… and listening to her honest thoughts, so that my heart and mind may be knowledgeable and my soul be full with one of my favorite laughs in the world.
I wouldn’t choose anyone but you, no matter how many ways you could ask… I would always pick you.
My baby sister, Cradle to Grave.
